The Countess was instrumental in the emancipation of the role of women in public office, to the point of being elected mayor of Stresa in 1955, one of the first female mayors in the entire country.

After changing hands several times, the villa was finally purchased in 2018 by its current owners, with plans to rebuild it entirely, eliminating the changes that had impoverished its appearance over the years to restore it to its original beauty, but at the same time using state-of-the-art technology and construction services.

A meticulous design project by experts in luxury design and restoration maximized the available area and reclaimed many outdoor spaces by enhancing the already wonderful garden and adding a guesthouse and a generous swimming pool within the original orchards.
